Home of the World’s Oldest Rodeo

Did you know that Prescott is the home of the World’s Oldest Rodeo?

The week long festivities held annually around the 4th of July include not only the Rodeo but also an Arts and Crafts fair on the Courthouse Square, Rodeo Dances, a Whiskey Row Street Dance, and the Frontier Days Parade, which is the 2nd largest parade in Arizona. But wait! That’s not all! When the parade ends the fun continues with the traditional Whiskey Row Boot Race where kids and adults of all ages put on their boots (usually duct taped to their feet) and race down Whiskey Row to the finish line. The week long festivities would not be complete without our grand Fireworks celebration and display.

If you have ever wanted to come to Prescott and enjoy all that this town has to offer, Rodeo week is a fun and exciting time to do it. You can feel the excitement in the air as participants from all over the country come to take part in the Rodeo and all of the events that make it so special. Join us!

It’s not too early to start planning your trip now. Hotels fill up quickly during Rodeo Week.
